The Project Search Instructor Skills Trainer equips, guides, supervises, supports, teaches, and trains individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in this Employment Services Program in vocational skills, general work skills, durable skills, soft skills, and other pertinent skills. The Project Search Instructor Skills Trainer supplies this service and support on-site at a host employer and professionally interacts with the business host. Project Search is a globally recognized job training program for high school students and/or young adults utilizing the Project Search training model, curriculum, and resources. The Project Search Instructor Skills Trainer assures that coaching is delivered according to best practices in the IDD field, according to person-centered principles, according to customer expectations, and according to all regulatory requirements. During the summer months, the Project Search Instructor Skills Trainer may be required to assist the employment services team with other employment programs and services as needed. The Project Search Instructor Skills Trainer reports directly to the Assistant Director of Employment Services.
